Good News / Bonne nouvelle

🇫🇷Je vous cache depuis plus de 6 mois, une excellente nouvelle ! Effectivement, en novembre 2016, l’une de nos femelles siamangs relâchées à Sumatra depuis un an et demi, a mis au monde un bébé (né donc en liberté !) qui se porte très bien ! Le précédent bébé, né d’une femelle ex-captive, était mort quelques semaines après sa naissance. Ceci est la raison de mes précautions pour vous annoncer cette bonne nouvelle... Cette petite femelle, baptisée « Sharongy »  est donc un grand espoir, et un signe de réussite de notre programme de réhabilitation. Sa maman, Sonia, est une femelle qui avait vécu de nombreuses années, prisonnière d’une petite cage avant son sauvetage par Kalaweit. Merci pour votre soutien.

🇬🇧6 months ago, one of our female siamang released in Sumatra (approximately 1 year ½ ago) gave birth to a healthy baby female (so wild born!). The previous baby, born from one of our ex-captive females died after few weeks, so I took the choice to wait 6 months before to spread this good news. Its baby (named “Sharongy”) is now 6 months old and healthy, and it’s a big hope, and a good sign from our successful rehabilitation program. His mum, Sonia, lived for so many years in a small cage, before her rescue by Kalaweit. Both are enjoying freedom now

🇮🇩Saya menyembunyikan berita baik sejak 6 bulan yang lalu. Yaitu salah satu betina siamang yang kami lepasliarkan telah melakhirkan bayi sehat di alam. Bayi yang sebelumnya lahir dari betina bekas peliharaan, mati beberapa minggu setelah lahir... Ini alasan saya memutuskan untuk menunggu 6 bulan sebelum menyampaikan kabar baik ini. Bayi ini yang di kasih nama “Sharongy” sehat dan merupakan harapan besar untuk siamang, dan tanda baik tentang keberhasilan program rehabilitasi Kalaweit. Ibunya (Sonia) hidup bertahun-tahun di kandang kecil sebelum di selamatkan Kalaweit berkerjasama dengan KSDA, dan sekarang Sonia dan Sharongy, beserta ayahnya, bisa menikmati kebebesan.
